DRYING SOLUTIONS
Drying to avoid clumping in sowing
A fluidized bed dryer can prevent clumping and remove external moisture from seeds or pelletized seeds. They can shorten the drying time of a variety of seeds. Fluidized bed dryers use the principle of fluidization to convert granular material from a static solid state into a more dynamic fluid-like form and then introduce hot air that is passed up around the particles. The granular material is then suspended in the air, surrounded by it as if it’s in a bed of boiling liquid. This results in a high moisture removal rate and uniform dried material output.
Fluidized Bed Dryer (automated)
Complete with touch screen control panels and automation, the DVX series prevents product clumping, simplifies cleanup, and improves the finished appearance of seed coatings and treatments. And all while cutting dry time!
Models: DVX: 307, 410, 512, 616
Fluidized Bed Dryer (standard)
The Fluidized Bed Dryers prevent product clumping, simplify cleanup and improve the finished appearance of seed coatings and treatments. And all while cutting dry time! The FBD uses a combination of air in motion through a vibrating, tilted table. Seed flow is converted to a “fluidized” suspension, making gentle, uniform drying possible for coated, treated, or washed seeds.
Models: FBD: 307, 410, 512, 616
Drying
-
Our fluid bed dryers are designed as a surface dryer to use after a chemical treatment process and can be used for most kinds of treated seeds.
The inlet section is built to ensure an even spread of product over the full working width of the machine.
-
The dryer has a vibrating screen with heavy suction which creates an airflow through the screen and on to the product, drying the liquid on the seeds.
Hot air can be added if there is a very high amount of liquid added to the seeds.
-
If your product demands a high percentage of liquid added in the seed treater the fluidized bed dryer is essential to avoid wet seeds from sticking together, creating problems in the sowing process.
